Borsa Istanbul (BIST) opens at 10:00 TRT and closes at 18:00 TRT, Monday through Friday. That schedule does not shift. Turkey locked its clocks to UTC+3 in 2016 and no longer observes daylight saving time, so the exchange runs the same hours in January as it does in July.
When Does Borsa Istanbul Open and Close?
BIST runs a single continuous block with a brief pre-market call auction:
| Phase | Time (TRT) |
|---|---|
| Pre-market call auction | 09:40-10:00 |
| Continuous auction | 10:00-18:00 |
There is no separate afternoon or evening window. The pre-market phase handles price discovery; the main auction runs straight through to the close.
